Love Made in Heaven

When love says it all..

All you need is love to invigorate yourself and bring a sparkle in your life back. Love is an indulgence of deep longing and affection. It has the power to touch our heart and soul.
So what if he doesn't love you? There are plenty of fishes in the sea! Roses will always bloom like the darling buds of May. In other words, there would be plenty of male and female species that is looking for love. For the past generations, this old romantic verse has been used in to propose to the love of their life.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet,
And so are you.

Very alluring and sweet, isn't it?
This is an expression of sentiment in a lyrical way used in the olden days. It encapsulates the beauty of love in its romantic tone.
It is an old fashioned verse that had been written time and time again to express love. Our love life had evolved throughout space and time in different dimension. Although in recent times, numerous satirical and transgressive versions have long circulated in children's lore, which is rather less formal and cheekier among them:
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Onions stink.
And so do you.

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Cashews are nuts.
And so are you

It's up to you which version would you prefer, for me I would rather opt the tradional lyrical verse which is far more endearing. This is what happened when the heart is touched. It could be by an angel, a prince or a notorious devil! Whatever it is, it simply denotes one thing, that love is in the air! It brings magical atmosphere. Valentine's day is fast approaching and I'm sure a lot of you are yearning that sort of special thoughts from your special loved ones.
It is always exciting to talk about love. This is the only thing that makes our heart grow fonder and beat faster. Love and passion are like peas and carrots, they are inseperable. You can't love someone without passion or vice versa. They are special package deal of emotion to woo your world. My existense as a human individual, stuck in time and place have given me an infinite manifestation of love that is beyond my wildest dream. It is an spectrum of human emotion that colours my world. In the name of love one should feel the ecstasy and the flame of it. For love is an ocean, endlessly flowing. It is endowed by nature and sought by lovers in search for more lasting friendships.

Falling in and falling out of love was never easy I guess for anyone. I can imagine the saga it brings to someone like me, each time a new love affair unfolds is like opening up a new curtain in the theater. It takes raw courage to re-open our heart to potentially forces of nature. Who knows, they could just be an intruder to harm your heart or they could be the prince charming that will take you to his castle. I can sit all day and recall those moments of madness , the excruciating pain when love falls apart, feeling of rejection and abandonement, feeling of desolation those negative forces that led me for the ultimate search of one true love.

Yes roses are red if your love is reciprocated in the most profound way. It is violets are blue when it is not that love at all but more of a dejection and feeling of hatredness. It is a quest to find true love. A true love is a special bonding of emotions that nourishes both your soul. Love is engulf by mystery and suspense. When it hits you, the arena of your battlefield retreats and the heart is left solely to wonder around and to fight for its battle. Thus it lives you in a state of bewilderment. Love is the ultimate force that draws us to wholeness. Whether you see the embodiment of love right before your eyes or not, I believe it is looking for you as much as you are looking for it. It is the spiritual reunification between two souls. It may sound elusive but how do you know really when you find the real one? I guess it's a guessing game!

As they say that it feels like you've been hit by a lightning! Love comes like a thief in the night. Without any warning sign. Literally can't think about anything or anyone else. Your body is electrified in seconds the moment you gazed at this person. You blush, You flush, You quiver. It feels though there's a special kind of magic in the air. As if your entire body and emotion is possessed by a magnetic force that is inexplicable. Your reason tells you but your heart says it all. You are irrevocably in it now but you must not rush your emotion to conclusion. You need the strenght of your wisdom, your spiritual connection and your intuitive prowess to enlighten yourself . Afterall, this might not be true love but a fatal attaction, that would bring you into tears. A lust or fatal attraction creates an illusion and emotional havoc that infringes our state of happiness. Your power to love someone does not prevent you to exercise your power to descriminate a true love from the tempestous effect of fatal attraction. You know it's true love the moment your pulsating emotion reverberates joy and serenity. Lasting happiness comes when you find your feet in love. In my happiest days, my love is always my best friend. In my saddest days, my love is my best friend. Love says it all, when you can share with this person all your thoughts with. I certainly can!!. Happy loving relationship!

A Christmas Reflection

"Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose". Each time I hear this Christmas melody, brings me an air of nostalgia. Remembering the good old days when life used to be very simple and beautiful.
Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong!!!.. It's the most wonderful time of the year, the happiest season of love, giving and sharing.
I inhabit a body that carries so much fond recollection of Christmas. I am far more aware of the embodiment of a true Christmas hence of the infinite ways in which love manifests during the yuletide season. I am old enough to be aware of the poignancy and tenderness of family relationships at Christmas. As a little girl those years, I'm an avid fan of Santa Claus. It was indeed a profound admiration though I've got no clue who he was at the beginning! Do you know it was a love and hate relationship between Father Christmas and me? Yes because I was a naughty kid and apparently Santa favours good girls who have been obedient not someone like me who have been a spoiled brat at all! I was always up to some dodgy trick, you know!!
My mum would often shout at me, because I was always skiving to join my friends in singing Christmas carols in the neighbourhood and ask for some monies. We were like yobs those years pestering our neighbours to give us monies despite our singing voice were awful!
But I know the trick how to get Santa to be on my side and grant my wishes.
Little did my parents knew that despite my young age, I know how to use my persuasive skills and charisma to convince Santa that I have been a good girl, even though I have been told off many times. There's always a song in my heart that Santa would love me to sing. As a young girl with a frequently bruised heart because I can't have all the things that I wanted for Christmas in split seconds so I sought refuge in songs and writings.
I still have an old diary in which I poured my heart away and wrote all my wishes. I always thought of Santa as an illustrious flamboyant creature of God whose generosity and philanthropic ways have made lots of children happy. Young, stubborn and cynical, I eagerly wrote all my wishes year after year. Some were been granted some not. As a teenager, the idea of celebrating Christmas in the Philippines is a thrilling adventure for me. It means attending the Misa de Gallo (Midnight Mass) for 16 consecutive early mornings. Getting up at dawn, joining my friends to sing at the church choir and eating puto bumbong (Filipino Sweet cake) was such an enthralling event for me at that time. As a young girl, celebrating Christmas with my family and close friends was a very thrilling episode of my life but it is the quiet acts of affection and comradeship that moves me to tears every time I reminisce my childhood Christmas. The joy of comradeship among the Filipino people at Christmas had been shared time and time again. All of these little acts express tenderness, care, humility and service in light of the yuletide season. There was one recurring moment in my life during the festivity season in the Philippines that I almost miss the most. It was the point on the eve of Christmas, at the heck of a busy preparation, when all members of my family would gather around the table after coming back from a midnight mass, whilst a special Filipino meal is being served. Silently, side by side, topping up each other's glasses and replacing the plates, we would sit, eat, talk, sing, doing something we enjoyed companionably. Oh how I wish we could go back in time, savour those wonderful moments. Those were the days! Yet until now there is this lingering sadness and aura of melancholy in my heart, that I wish we could have remained children forever. That everyday is Christmas!
Now that I'm in my mid life, I have seen the many changing facets of Christmas.
For some people, the festive season is a scene of desolation and ruin due to family break ups. Some are even angry because of the excessive commercialization of Christmas, with the focus on gifts and the emphasis on "perfect" social activities. Other get depressed because Christmas appears to be a trigger to engage in excessive shopping spree. They dread Christmas because of the expectations for social gatherings with family, friends and acquaintances that they'd rather not spend time with. And finally, many people feel very lonely at Christmas, because they have suffered the loss of loved ones or their jobs. They don't feel love in their hearts. As a result, there is no spirit of the festive season.
The enemies of love are the enemies of Christmas. Destitution and desolation are the forces within us that make us behave in unloving, neglectful or destructive ways. The Christmas season has become a difficult time for many people in our society. For those of us who don't have difficulties at this time of year, it's an opportunity to reach out to those who become depressed. For those who are vulnerable, it's an opportunity to take action to think, feel and act in ways that breaks free from the past. Christmas should be carried within our hearts come what may, because this is the true essence of love for mankind!

Happy Christmas to all!!!

Who wants be a Millionaire?

Who wants to be a millionaire? Wealth is all around us. Everybody wants to be a millionaire. And who says not? All you need is the confidence to reach out for your share. When God created the universe, the earth is blessed with the abundance of natural resources. The human brain is equipped with intelligence to create talents and skills to produce our livelihood. Now it is up to individual to utilize and cultivate it to generate wealth and financial resources. Believe it or not you could be a millionaire! I too strongly believe as one day we would all be millionaires but the question is when and how? From the day we are born, we have our own individual path of success to follow. This is called destiny. That depends on whether we follow the right direction or not. This is the defining factor why there are rich and poor. Everybody is born to succeed and not to fail. Everybody is a gifted millionaire in there own ways. This is a legacy that we could develop within the power of our mind. Cast away all the negative elements, accentuate more positive and winning approach in our life at all times. There is nothing difficult to achieve once we set up our mind. The gateway to success is just around the corner but again life is full of sporadic obstacles that we need to fight with before we could win our battle. Set your goals, workout your targets, make the most of your time, and remember to work hard to achieve your goals. Remember it is just few steps only to success... Now your goal is to make money and become a millionaire. Define your goal first as without it, it is unlikely that you will achieve something in life. What you really want in life is the key question. It is the path that will lead you to a better life. Cultivate the habit of believing that you can achieve wealth and success everyday introspectively. The signal penetrates into the brain and reprograms our body system in getting what we wanted. The motivations are cascaded into our mind and body to coordinate, allowing the individual to acquire wealth and success. Today is the day, for you to change the course of your life. You have to pull yourselves together and begin your treasure hunt right from your own home! There is no such arithmetic formula for wealth creation, no financial advisors, no bank manager, no friends, no relatives or anyone else but YOU! Think big and you will make it. I better start digging off in the garden now, there might be hidden gold treasure there!!!!!

The Pursuit of Freedom (A Salute to Filipino Bravery)

Long live the Philippines! You and I should be proud to be called Filipinos. It is our motherland, the land of our birth. Our indigenous fathers have brought forth an archipelago of seven thousand and one hundred seven island fortified in liberty and strength.

Today is a milestone in our country's history. Let us show gratification to the unequalled heroism of our countrymen whose intrepidity have won our battle for Independence. We take increased devotion to our mother nation whose long-sufferings against the iniquities of foreign invasion that have stigmatized us.

Scores of generations have marched down in the valley of death to protest against oppression. Our brothers and sisters, the likes of Dr Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Apolinario Mabini, Gabriella Silang, Juan Luna, Gregorio Del Pilar and Diego Silang our greatest heroes of all time. Had not for their glorious vociferous call for revolution and the restoration off our freedom, we will not be a nation.

Our nation had been deprived not only once but several times to regain its independence and sovereignty from the bondage of foreign domination.
The sick, the injured and the dead have inured our heart to the pain of withering injustice. Yet this act of revulsion has been repeated time and time again in our history. The whirlwind of our Spanish conquistador, American colonization and Japanese invasion has seen the resurgence of a powerful revolutionary government.

Tears blood and sweat were the silent witness to our road to freedom. Our quest for independence has long begun the day Spanish dominated our country.
Today the Philippine Flag is a living symbol of our colourful emancipation.
The momentous declaration of Philippine Independence was proclaimed on June 12, 1898 between four and five in the afternoon. The humble likes of General Emilio Aguinaldo has been the chosen instrument by God to effectuate the redemption and liberation of our country from the yoke of foreign invaders.

To highlight the end of our long era of suffering from our conquerors, the famous national anthem, Lupang Hinirang was played for the first time. Conceived in liberty, racial equality and solidarity are indeed the foundation of a genuine democracy. This was the renaissance of our democratic society.

And imbued with faith in God and confidence in our sovereign state, we have supported the pacification with divine honour and integrity.
To this date, echoes of the past still haunts our country, though the crusaders may won their battle, the ghost of the past torments our future.
The uprising of terrorism within the past decades is emerging to be imminent threat to our country's stability.
Thus we will always repudiate any act of transgression to our sovereignty and freedom. We should be proud to tell the world, that we will fight till the last drop of our blood!
Our staggering pursuit for freedom and democracy has engulfed our country with trials and tribulations. Sorrows of the past have turned our society to be more vulnerable yet valorous in deeds and words.

Tears not of sadness but joy and happiness. War and injustice will not be the cause of our tears anymore. Rather we will weep at the realisation that we have sought freedom and happiness.
Remember, for every breath of life taken is a massacre to our Philippine independence.
Yesterday our lives were in great turmoil, today we are exulting in victory and tomorrow we are on a threshold of a new era.

In retrospect to our deluded past, we can now look back and say million thanks and salute the bravery and patriotism of our forefathers in the resurrection of our country, The Philippines, She is an oasis of love and bravery.
May the saddest day of our past, be the happiest day of our future!

Simply Living (Back to basics)

The winds of change in the global economy have taken the world by storm. It was about few months ago when the G8 countries have to call out for emergency meeting to find and implement financial resolution to save ailing banks and to bail out multi million companies from going bust. Since then the world has change over night so is our visions and priorities for the future. It is the day of reckoning, to plan a counter productive measures how to survive at this crucial period of our lives. Job losses, house repossessions, bank closures, credit crunch are the current global insurgences that is hitting us every second.

I have been immensely following the world economic saga unfold as I tuned in to CNN News, BBC and ITV News. Are we really going down the hill? The volatility in the world stock markets is a clear indication that there's no confidence in the economy and banking institution. Everybody knows that. We need to raise the awareness of every family. Desperate times calls for desperate measures. How? The day I have raised the panic button in my family household was the day I have to go back to the basics. We need to act now and do something. Anything we opt to do would have a serious repercussion in our family, society and global survival.

First of all, think where were we 15 years ago? Hey, how's your life 20 years ago? What your parents used to do to bring bacon at home? Who has got credit card 30 years ago? Neither my husband nor myself have credit cards 30 years ago so as our parents. We need to live by our means without making life too complicated.

Our demands and necessities were very simple at that time. Think back and recall those happy moments. A trip down memory lane would enlightened and revivify our financial worries. " Earn Simple and live Simple".

1. Green Revolution- With the enormous cost in food prices, home produced fruits and veggies would sure help you a lot and it would promote healthy eating
2. Never leave any electronic appliances like television, computer or audio system power on.
3. Always plan and make weekly budget menu.
4. Do your wardrobe re- inventory. Impulsive shopping can only double your credit card bills
5. Do online business to augment your income like affiliate marketing
6. Minimize your car journey to work and instead walk or ride a bike
7. Don't indulge in any shopping galore promotion
8. Moderate consumption of household gas, electricity and water.
9. Practice a non smoking and non alcoholic lifestyle
10. Don't buy unless you really need it. " Ask yourself, Do I really need it?"
11. Recycle your rubbish
12. Make money on line by selling your old clothes, books, shoes or personal items on EBay or Amazon
.

13. Cut down on foreign trips or holidays. Travel using low costs airlines and budget hotels.
14. See your bank manager for financial reviews, it's better to know your financial standing than regret later on.
15. Seek the best deal in mortgage, car and insurance policies
16. If you have any skills like in cooking, singing, computer website designing, fashion and others, used it to augment your family income
17. Remittances bureaus charge less than some banks if you are transmitting funds abroad
18. Asian Stores offers parcel services and sell cheaper phone cards
19. Buffet Restaurant offering budget international meals are great money saving tips when holding special events like weddings and birthdays
20. Bargain hunting search online using Google, AOL or Yahoo

It's never too late to go back to where we used to be. Spending wisely by going back to our basic needs will create cash flow in our households nonetheless of world recession. Despite staggering financial bailouts that the government has enforced, if we do not cooperate and live by our means, we are the one to suffer. Let's fight back and save our future.

Terrorism in the Philippines and Asia

Following the recent launch of missile by North Korea that shocked the world today, we can only pray and hope that there won't be any reoccurrence of human catastrophe again.
On account of what's been happening lately, our world is turning vicious every second. 21st century is heading for a violent turmoil. What lies ahead is an uncertain and gloomy future for the human race. Nevertheless, The world's intolerance to terrorism is immense but still act of defiance like these have been instigated successfully.
It's a savage world! Innocent people are victims.
On the global roundup, my heart bleeds for what is happening around the world. Many countries in Asia have become poor targets of terrorist supremacy in recent time. I feel squeamish to know that Philippines has had been saturated under the repulsive act of terrorism for considerable amount of time despite government effort to bring peace and stability in the southern part of the Philippines. The insurgency problem in our country is growing day by day.
The hostage issue in Jolo, Mindanao, Philippines involving Italian and Filipino missionaries is still unfolding.
As a result, the indigence growth in our country is becoming a threat to the country's stability. The crusaders has had fought for a long battle to maintain our economic, social and religious steadiness. Let us not allow those individuals whose ravenous desire for evil lust lures the world into an uncertain tomorrow. Tomorrow's future is bright if we can only propagate the God's word all over the world. A vociferous call of unification against terrorism is what we need.

Where in this world you can acquire a zest for living now a days? The truth is there's no exact answer to that.
.
To unleash their raging emotions at the gates of hell in countries like North Korea, Philippines, Pakistan, and Afghanistan and in the Middle East will only rock the world's stability

Yet, the latest intransigent attitude of North Korea is igniting a flaming temper in the western world. The water runs deep, for every act of terrorism is an act of punishment. It's about time for the world to wake up from its deep somnolence and face the many intricacies brought on by terrorism.
The world is playing dangerous game in the flourishing of pseudo beliefs and leadership. We should stop it before it does infiltrate the entire civilization. I feel strong revulsion that even in my own country, The Philippines, a country blessed with vast natural resources, a country that is steeped in culture with great ancestral heritage and lovely people have to suffer under the hands of dissidents.
A ferocious action of war will only bring forth backlash. So much so, that the world is heading for turbulence if no preventative measure would be enforced to resolve the conflict. The battle against terrorism is a wide-eyed issue that headlines the papers every now and then. It's not a myth but one of the many facts of life in this habitable planet. Terrorism is havoc to world's peace and solvency. We could only hope that our world leaders will make use of their carte blanche in a prudent manner.

My Travel Epiphanies in Asia

Traveling encompasses all emotional aspect of human being. It is an art that you acquire as you go along and see the world. It is a spectacular adventure that prompts your heart to the beauty of the world, feel the pulse of the people, and experience far- flung culture that is within your wildest dream. Yet inevitably there is always a lingering feeling of anxiety as to what lies beyond the horizon of your journey?
The art of traveling is a skill that we acquire and develop as we go along in continues journey. I love traveling to bits and I'm very passionate about the idea of learning new cultures, meeting people and above most seeing exotic places. This is my way of connecting with the world and adopting new skills and knowledge. What I am trying to say is that traveling is a goal with infinite purposes. With each traveling that I have done in the past, I have become more aware of my limitations in trying to figure out this infinite purpose through one finite completed journey and its blessings. The excitement, the clamor, the glitz and glamour, the happiness, the tension, the stress and anxiety, the nostalgia, the thrill are few of the faces of traveling. I'm a spontaneous traveler, a drifter, and an explorer. I have ever learned so much about in traveling and have changed so many of my perception in life.
Let me share you my best-kept secret. The day I have sent my daughter Audrey to travel on her own from United Kingdom to the Philippines at age 10 was a debatable issue amongst my family. In fact it did create havoc in my family circle that I was the most hated person at that time for letting my daughter travel as unaccompanied minor passenger on a long haul 16- hour flight journey! I knew it was not an easy decision but in my heart it is a savvy decision. Nevertheless I have put things into perspective. Ironically and contrary to my relations, she did flown to on two separate occasions on her own during age 10 and 11! For her it was an adventure of a lifetime to board on an aircraft alone surrounded by complete strangers around you. Now to ensure smooth journey we have to comply with the regulation and be in touch with the airline crew. Every time we go back in time and recall those panicky moments of her flying alone she would just smile and proudly say I'm better than my granny who have never sit on a plane until age 64!
Now turning 18, she is somehow adept in the art of traveling. Yes it's a kind of sink or swim experience in life. It is a wonderful thing to engage in traveling and have an impact on the wider world. If I could say one thing to someone young, it would be: don't fixate on finding your course in life. Remember to explore your passions.

Every country that I have visited so far had always created a lasting impact on me. My latest visit in Asia few months back have brought us epiphanies that are rather amusing. Our Far East journey has provided us with fabricated wonders of surprise, curiosity and awe. I call it epiphanies as sequence of rather unexpected events has occurred before we even reach our actual destination. I find this very bemusing at it never happen before. I guess there is always first time. On board our flight heading to Hong Kong, the crew was making announcement that a passenger needs medical attention. At first, we didn't think it was something serious. Little did we know, that suddenly after an hour making that announcement for the fallen ill passenger, everything has changed. This is the moment when it all begun. Our magical sort of mystery tour to the unknown destination have commenced when the flight have to make an emergency landing somewhere in Hungary to take the passenger to the hospital. Although we have remained seated on board it was beyond our comprehension that the five hours we have stayed in Hungary would jeopardize everyone's flight. Confused and tired, we landed at Bombay Intl Airport. There was a total disarray of flight connections and no one knows seem to know what is going to happen! Hours of waiting at the airport lounge, when the bombshell was dropped down to us, advising passengers that there were no flight connections at all! In a nutshell, we are stranded and have to wait for further announcement. The irony and agony of being stranded made everybody in the group dismayed and furious. Decision! Decision, how long we have to wait here? A billion dollar question that no one knows the answer. Finally after almost a day of waiting at the Airport, on our sweaty and smelly clothes, there was a sheer of hope and happiness on our face to know that we can fly to Singapore! To stay one day with free five star accommodation plus food and transfer service seems all right. Then a connecting flight would follow the next day. Somehow it was a relief for everybody, at least we can freshen up and relax in a 5* hotel. And enjoy the day. Despite that Musty and me have been to Singapore before but the thought of getting a windfall tour is somewhat rather exciting! Some of the passengers were delighted as it has given them opportunity to see Singapore even for a day. We made overseas call to my relations to advise them what have happened and have informed them of the new flight arrival details. We've met lots of nice passengers and we have been with them throughout the entire journey. Food was lovely and the show at the hotel was spectacular. Singapore is such a haven for food and shopping. Exploring the sights and sound of Singapore out of our travel itinerary was surreal. Imagine the luxury treatment we have had has made us forgot what happened with the flight. Excited and well groomed, we made our way to the airport the following morning. I don't know what fate was waiting for us on that day, that to my astonishment I almost dropped down our suitcase upon hearing that there was no confirmed flight reservation for our group! What the hell was going on? Are we doomed at all? Why??? Why??? This is too much as I was almost screaming to Musty but again poor man he can only console me. No flight was available! We have been denied access, as there was no reservation at all. Hearing those pathetic words, it made my blood boil. For the sake of one passenger that has fallen ill, we have to bear the consequences of these travel chaos. We are losing so much time to consider those other passenger who had paid for their hotel reservation, they were losing their days booked. The announcement was made. The most bizarre and flabbergasting advice that I have heard in my entire life! That because all the flight were fully booked, the only means for them is to get us another flight to go either to Malaysia or Thailand and stay there for another day and catch the reconnection flight the next day! You can see the delusion on our tired face and feeling of anxiety. This kind of feeling hits you in the stomach and in the ends of your fingers. I was feeling numb all over my body and worried about my Chinese relations who were very confused and distracted what was going on. When does the wonder, the absorption, and the magical connection with the word travel? It did vanish slowly for everybody in the group. When does the spell break? Are we being cursed?
I think it breaks with growing self-consciousness. We have to make our choice. I spoke to Audrey and related to her our latest travel predicament. The only thing I could remember she uttered over a bad connection line was " Do you know mum, that you are traveling all over Asia? What's happening? We are very worried here? "

This time we've decided to take the offer to take us to Malaysia and from there fly to Hong Kong. This is really driving me crazy, Musty told the other hopeless passengers.
Waiting for our flight to Malaysia relentlessly, suddenly there was a change in the air. Our plight of fancy to nowhere was finally over. Cathay Pacific has informed us that they are now able to board us, as there were some passenger cancellations. We literally get in our own way. Somebody might laugh at us for being dreamy and that is the end of our nightmare. The good news is that the lost paradise is always there waiting for us. We finally made it to Hong Kong as our first destination in our league of Far East Trip. My Chinese Uncle Chingkang and his grandson Sam, my teenage nephew, have greeted us. They have been coming to the airport for the last 2 days to see whether there's any sign of us. It was an emotional reunion meeting my entire relations, which I haven't seen for almost 15 long years since my granddad had passed away. My most cherish moment during our visit was when we visited and offered prayer at my granddad's grave site along with my Chinese grandma. It was my first time to visit his gravesite since he passed away. My emotion was running high as I utter my prayer for my adorable grandfather.
Hong Kong will always have a soft spot in my heart being the very first country I sat foot when I begin my first journey abroad many years back. It is breathtaking scenery to see the island surrounding Hong Kong with its sky crapper buildings. I love Hong Kong, its food and the sight and sound that Hong Kong has to offer every visitor. Indeed the commercial hub of Asia. Two weeks later we found ourselves in China. This is the culmination of our visit. Family and business trip combined together. Although I have been to China border before, this is my first time to set complete eyes on this thousand years civilization so as with Musty. China is the trip of a lifetime. It is vast, evolving and exciting. It is somewhat an exploration of ancient Chinese culture and tradition that now encroaches with China's modern lifestyle and advance technologies. To learn the ropes of doing business in China is to learn something about their language, as it would help brake the ice. Chinese people are hard working people that if you want to do business with them you need to learn the protocols of working long hours. Our days in China were spent most in learning the operational side of my cousin's manufacturing industry in home appliances and meeting business people. We have had the chance to participate in the World's biggest trade fair in Asia. It was a learning experience for me. Our visit has taken us to so many historical places in China and panoramic views. Food was rather a special attraction in China, we have been introduced to different regional cuisines in China, giving me a lifetime experience to savor and learn the many culinary delights of China.
The last two weeks of our Asian visit was spent in the Philippines, to see my mother and some of our family relations and friends. Nostalgia, real nostalgia is a much bigger deeper feeling than that. It is a love for my family and country to which I will always return time and time again. At its most painful and inexplicable, as I felt it as a child, it is a love and a deep longing for my own motherland, and which I'm afraid I will never find elsewhere in the world, but only in my land of heritage, the Philippines. I think this nostalgia is a universal feeling that you experience whenever you are traveling to your own country. Eating your own traditional food, mingling with the locals, watching the sunset in Manila bay, family get together, meeting your childhood friends, watching local films, listening to what is happening in the political arena in the Philippines, strolling by the sea side, gossiping about your Philippine movie stars. I think this kind of epiphanies happens only whenever I visit home. It is part of the irresistible drive that urges us towards love with our country and fellowmen. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a born saint either, despite feeling of nostalgia, I still argue with my mother when I was there and some of relations as well. I think it's highly unreal if there's no sort of discussion that would erupt during family get together as it would be boring and no sense of excitement and sensibility. It adds sparkle and color to our family rapport. Time spent in nature invariably reconnects me.
Another way to rediscover is to travel somewhere new next time. The dust of blinding familiarity hasn't settled on a strange landscape. Our mind doesn't gloss over it, unseeing, saying, " Been there, know that". Strangeness will wake us up again because for our enlightenment, we need to understand the message of every epiphany that we meet across our journey.

Had the passenger have not fallen ill in our outward flight, my understanding of epiphanies in our journeys would still be rather vague.

On Racism and Xenophobia

Like in the United States, UK is a multi-faceted country. The vast lineage in each individual that lives here contributes to the cosmopolitan atmosphere specially in London. Despite the abundance of the mulattos, xenophobic is still a wide gap issue to many, both the immigrants or the indigenous populous of the country. Ideologically as every immigrant would differ from each cultural background, fallacious opinions do occur. These are the cores of any racial discrimination that is inevitable at times. The immense migration following my movement here about 16 years ago has had intensified the gap between the white and the colored ethnics particularly in the rural areas. Racism is havoc to any nation, it could plunge the economy at any moment. Xenophobia is a cancer in any society that should be destroyed. No one would like to wake up one day, seeing the country has turned into a topsy-turvy. The cultural, social and moral integration of every race is a contributing factor to the stability of ones country.

On love and Marriage

Marriage is the best lucrative investment in town that anyone can procure as the profit doubles-up within a matter of time but again the pitfalls could sometimes lead you into a turbulent world of divorce. Divorce is a loophole act of getting away from the sacrilege of marriage. The phrase "I DO" could mean a hotbed of roses or endless turmoil. It's a painstaking decision that you need to consider. . But once you hit the right spot, there you are my dear, everything is magic. Love is an eternal devotion to one another. It's an incandescent show of affection.
No spell in this world that could torn you apart or put you asunder from each other. It is an endless flame of ecstasy.
I don't think there is an authentic recipe to a great relationship. You need to spice it up to maintain its savor. Enhance it once the taste turns subtle. Love should be up in the air all the time.
A sultry show of love and devotion to one another is your strongest Armour to beat up any potential intruder. Keep your romance alive all the time and most of all, sprinkle it with a great sense of humor to bring out the sweetness and aromatic flavor in ones relationship.

On Parenthood

Children are the most precious gift from heaven. Cuddle, nurture and nourish them with all the love and affection they need for when they grow up they will be your lasting legacy. I can certainly recall my exuberant feeling the moment my daughter Audrey was born. The first cuddle I gave her was a blissful emotional scene that will always linger in my thoughts. Babies are bundles of joy in every family. Becoming a mother has taken me to the most exciting and challenging times of my life. Parenthood is a skill that you develop with the passage of time. Take one day at a time. Everyday is a learning process for us. It is a tedious task and an unremitting show of commitment but the moment we see our kids grow-up into decent and responsible adults, and then that gives us the feeling of achievement and fulfillment. It is a reward to every parent to see their offspring grow into healthy, sensible and loving individuals. No amount of wealth could equal to this. The credit lies on us as parents. Getting your ears used to crying and sleepless nights are the first basic steps to parenthood. The rest will take care of itself. Everyone posses an innate ability, it's a human instinct that will guide us throughout our parenthood years. A fiasco to parenthood is likely the result of a champing at the bit attitude as a parent. We've got to ensure that we are there for our children. When the tough gets going, when they are screwed up, they need us besides them. There are good and bad days as part of our learning process. These are just normal protocols to parenthood. Yes, you are right, kids now these days are more adventure, inquisitive, more fashion conscious, trendy and totally more outlandish in their styles and manners. My daughter is the same. She wants more and more. Although I do keep her thumb under control before she gets underway to so many stupid things. She listens and remembers from time to time what I normally tell her. In going through the dark patches of parenthood, the innuendo that our folks had given us will sure ease off our burdens us parents. However the prognosis is very promising. Remember a child's place is in our heart away from the ferocious world of desperation. They only deserve the best from us.

Think BIG and You Will

Who wants to be a millionaire? Wealth is all around us. Everybody wants to be a millionaire. And who says not? All you need is the confidence to reach out for your share. When God created the universe, the earth is blessed with the abundance of natural resources. The human brain is equipped with intelligence to create talents and skills to produce our livelihood. Now it is up to the individual to utilize and cultivate it to generate wealth and financial resources. Set up your goals, workout your targets, make the most of your time, and remember to work hard to achieve your goals.

Quest for World Peace and Economic Resurgence for 2009

The dreadful effect of economic down turn is still lashing out in UK and
so as the major turbulence in all parts of the world is biting every
second. It's gloomy where economic and financial prognosis are concern but
never mind as we keep our spirit up high in dealing with our daily
existence. We can only hope and pray that something positive would see the
heralding of a new dawn, a new milestone on the horizon to bring a
glittering vision of global peace, economic prosperity and unwavering
support from government and religious organizations to help the weak and
the oppressed. The quest for world peace and economic resurgence should be the
world's top agenda for 2009.
